Is it possible to locate an original crystal for this watch. The one shown here was a replacement; and it is not as flush as the original.  Thank you

trudeman,  Yes, it is very possible. Being You have owned the Watch since new I'd suspect the Case reference number is still visible inside the Caseback. By using the Case reference number the original glass can be determined / located. To know what to look for here is a brief discussion on Case reference numbers: http://www.mybulova.com/forums/when-did-case-stamps-begin

Gentlemen, you have all been very helpful. I would like to get this beautiful heirloom up and running again. The hands move when I twist the crown, but the movement does not tick more than two or three times, and the hands do not advance. I think it needs a good cleaning. I would love a recommendation for a trustworthy and experienced watchmaker to whom I can entrust this job. I have never had this watch cleaned and it's been sitting in my dresser drawer for decades.

I would appreciate any helpful advice you can give me. Thanks in advance.

Added note: I have not seen another watch with this lug style for His Excellency 1959 23-jewel. The original flat crystal was broken and replaced in 1963 with one with a higher dome. I would love to find another original but am hesitant to open the movement. I would like to find a Bulova specialist who can clean the watch, get it running again, and replace the crystal. Any suggestions?

I had the watch serviced in July, 2020. Runs OK but a bit slow. Movement is 10BP.10BP movement

I have this watch as well, and when I opened it up found the case gasket had perished.  I am looking at replacements on esslinger but I'm not quite sure of the dimensions.  If you know the case gasket dimensions or a replacement part number, please share.  My 10BP is running fast, and has balance wheel amplitude of maybe 60 degrees.  I'll be cleaning it and lubricating it.  We'll see how that goes.
