L9 would mean that it's a 1959 case with a N0 (1970) movement, which unnfortunetly would mean this watch 'non-conforming'.

Do you have a close up of the movement?

I uploaded a closer image of the movement to my user file, but don't know how to get it here

If I can identify the case I could find a proper movement but I didn't see anything in the database or in the old adverts

I can't find any instances of watches in the database sporting an 11AF movement (sub second hand) past 1960. Is it possible date code is M0 on movement? That would make a lot more sense and could mean movement is original to the watch. Sometimes it's difficult to tell an M from an N on a movement.

The latest sub second models I find are dated 1967, none of which are sporting an 11AF. Just an observation.

I checked it under 10x magnification and it is definitely an N0 right above the word Unadjusted on the movement. Not clear in the photo

Thanks for the photo. That would unfortunetly place your watch in th non-conforming category, but with the correct movement in place we can cerrtainly look to update.

Do you have any idea which model the case might possibly? I went through the database and the adverts but didn't find anything that looked similar.

I looked through the full and partail ads and did not find a match.  Pretty unique case so one could pop up at some point.

Update...another one of these cases has surfaced on Ebay.

This one appears to have a '52 or '53 date code (kinda blurry, couldn't tell for sure.

Here is a photo

Identical to the one I have. Same 11AL movement, same hands, same face ?
