The case looks to have two different colours of metal, and there are two small diamonds inside the hearts on the casing. The strap does not look to be original.

Closest I find is the Bulova Athena. The "C" is listed as yellow, the "D" as white, but no mention of the "A" or "B" etc and two tone.

Same here, only match I find is the Athena "C". It may be possible that the yellow was two-tone, but hard to say for sure.

Pretty watch with the sweet hearts.  If the case is yellow and white on top then I think it is the "C".  1962 Linebook page 14

I did also question the dial difference, but the case style was the only close match I could see.

I do agree, typically when yellow it;s the main case that is yellow.

The jewelry industry usually sets the diamonds in white gold and/or Rhodium because it enhances the brilliance of the diamonds. Also it enhances the durability and luster.

That is a possibility.

I'm at a general 'Athena' for now, as the two-tone mave have it's own variant and dial style.

I agree, it seems Athena makes sense.

I am inclined to think this is an Athena noting the dial difference is not documented by ads.
