Aimed squarely at the teenage market that Bulova targeted so well in the 60s.

SVP seems a strange model name but it is what it is.

I found articles and ads from 159-60, the articles stated that more adults were buying the SVP models than teenagers, and the variants were unusual in that they are denoted by Roman Numerals instead of Arabic numbers or letters.
