Watch Description

This one's a puzzler.  I'll explain below. The case is 10K rolled yellow gold filled, marked 1963 (M3).  Its got a 21 jewel 8AC movement, marked 1962 (M2). I can't find an ad to support an ID. Having said that, this watch matches two in the database.  One matches my watch exactly and is IDed as a "Craftsman D": https://www.mybulova.com/watches/1963-craftsman-d-3308 The second is exactly like both my watch and the one above but it has a black face.  Its marked "Unknown": https://www.mybulova.com/watches/1961-unknown-5417 I'd be happy to go with "Craftsman D" except that in reading through the comments it looks like it was a bit of a sketchy ID.  There's no ad and it looks like it was based upon crystal specs.  I'll leave it to you guys to decide.

1963 Linebook confirms it as a Bulova Craftsman "D".

Looks like I’m about to learn something today. What and where is the 1963 linebook?

We have recently been lucky enough to be given access to a number of linebook by Bulova. The full publication of these on myBulova are still under review, but for now the myBulova panel have access to them to aid in the model identification process.

Dang, this is a nice watch Tom. I love the mid-century modern design!

Thanks, Geoff.  I usually don't bother with many watches from the sixties but I agree.  I thought this one was cool looking.
