Nice to see a good example of the sungold with the original band.  I believe that is a M3, would you like me to change the date?

Ok cool, I thought it was an M.  M is for the 60s, L is for the 50s.  If you would like me to change it let me know : )

Just adopted her, and found out she had kennel cough then pneumonia.  Been a rough 2 weeks but she's getting better. Thank you, Kathy.

Very nice watch; color shift is quite fascinating to see.

1966  Bulova SUNBURST  "J" on original band.

It's interesting that the ad states "Fashioned in Bulova Sungold" and doesn't mention solid or plated. Based on the prices, it would seem to indicate plated like subject watch.

I wonder if the color effect was accomplished by heat treating the plated case.

The Sungold coloring reminds me of Black Hills Gold.  I wonder if it is a combination of yellow, rose and white gold filled plating?  It is a cool effect.
