Nice! Heirloom watches are the best! Watch is an "International LTD.". I suspect if your grandfather was in northern MN, he likely bought it over the border in Canada. I believe I found it in the 1964 Linebook153 identified by a number only. It;s a little hard to tell, but the linebook photo clearly shows the linen textured dial. The hands aren't quite a match, but everything else seems to be.

I'm not quite sure how to identify this one, but would be inclined to call it

I do note that the warranty paper work has 3-1101-00, which somewhat resembles the model number above 321100.

I'm wondering if that is the true model number, explaining the difference in hands....maybe...maybe not.

International model is certainly the correct call.

I noticed the number, but wondered about the fact it's stamped in the space reserved for the dealer name. I would be hesitant to assign 3-1101-00, as it's possible the paperwork is for a different watch and was incorrectly matched to subject watch at time of purchase. Watch comes out of showcase , s/n hand written on pre-stamped warranty paper from under the counter and watch is placed in a matching clamshell and box (also from under the counter) without consideration that 60 years in the future, it would matter to anyone.

Just me thinking out loud.....

Thanks for the feedback - international does make sense.

Northern Minnesota meant very -Northern- Minnesota - about 10 miles from the Canadian border was where they called home.  The closest big city was either Winnipeg, or Grand Forks, ND.  Winnipeg excursions were common enough that this likely came from there.

Welcome to myBulova and thank you for sharing your grandfather's watch with us, it is a beauty!  I agree with Bob's linebook find.

1964 Bulova International 321100 seems to be a match.
