Wonderful watch.  I don't know enough about them to know if it is a conversion or not but this was a model and it looks right to me.  Like this one https://www.mybulova.com/watches/1967-accutron-spaceview-7860 I looked through the line books but could not find it but there are ads for it.

Great watch, thanks for sharing it. I am no authority on Spaceviews, but it look right to me as well. Nice that it is also in the original box with paper.

1965 Spacceview "D" gets my vote. Good ad finds, Kathy.

Agree - 1965 Bulova Accutron Spaceview D

Is there a number ink stamped inside the back cover?

The iconic Accutron Spaceview "D". One of Bulova's most sort after watches for this period.

Here is some information posted in various places on the web (including here), that reportably shows the correct Bulova Accutron Spaceview case reference numbers.

Although that watch (case 2304) was a known Spaceview watch, whoever assembled that watch didn't use OEM Accutron parts but rather used, like most quickly assembled Accutron nowadays, Clark aftermarket hands and crystals. It's the cheap and easy way to throw together a Spaceview watch. The correct OEM hands and crystal are available but the current market and buyers don't know or care if the parts are OEM or not so most are built and sold with cheap aftermarket parts. It's a nice watch but not correct as far as the original parts go.

SVM2 is 100% correct with his assessment of this watch, I'm sorry to say it shouldn't be listed here as a Spaceview watch as the movement was assembled out of miscellaneous year parts with aftermarket hands and crystal are thrown in...
