Watch Description

Although it is difficult to read, just above the 10K RGP Bezel reference on the back it says Bulova M5 which leads me to believe it is a 1965 Minute Man. There is a beautiful 1960 Minute Man owned by John Corris in the member pictures and the numerals are the same script. The biggest difference that I can see is that his 1960 model has 17 Jewel on the dial where this one does not.  Other than being in need of a good cleaning, this is a nice watch with a Speidel expansion strap. I traded a 1950's Marx tin toy truck for it. As always I am very interested in your opinions.

I would agree that this is the Minute Man model. We see this case design going back to the early 50s as the Ruxton, the Broker for a couple of years around 57/58, then a couple years as the S.V.P. III around 1959/60, and through the 60s as the Minute Man with a variety of dial configurations. You have a nice example.

It must have been a popular design to have stayed in the line up for such a long period. When I compare it to the watch styles of the late sixties I am sure this would have been the retro look. Personally I really like it.
