Additional Information

I have not seen a photo like this watch. Case back not opened. Gold patterned face that catches the light. Black fils style hands. Quite plain and classic gold bezel SS case. Black leather strap with 14 ct gold buckle. Manual wind up. All original with blue octagonal box lined with gold material. This was my first watch given to me by my parents as new bought from a local jewellers shop in UK and was my everyday watch for about 15 years until quartz watches became popular. It has sat in its box unloved for over 20 years. It does work but obviously needs a good servicing and clean before winding fully. Can a member recommend a watch-smith in UK to carry out service?

I was an avid fan of the original tv show "Man from U.N.C.L.E" and can wonder if the show used Bulova watches. Being English I can only think this the reason why my parents bought me a US watch.

Hard to tell what the dial looks like, if M5 is stamped on the back, then it would be a 1965 model, but it also looks like there is no sub-seconds dial or sweep seconds hand...

You can try to contact Gary (mybulova name GVP) through a personal e-mail on this site, he has GJ watches that runs a ad on the home page, and I am pretty sure he is in the UK.

I'd love to see some clearer pictures. Try using the macro setting on your camera. After 20 years in the sock drawer, you need to be showing this watch alot of love to make up for the years in DARKNESS.

GJ Watches can certainly help you out. Just go to the home page to find his advert.

I will take some better pictures with a proper camera and upload. No sweep hand and " Bulova" in gold on face. Is the gold patterning on the dial common? How does the case open to see the movement?

I have finally uploaded some better photos. Had to resize quite a bit to get them to upload. If you want better I can email.

Here is a very similar watch. Unfortunately no name.

Well spotted. Yes that is it except for the colouring. This looks to be a rose gold bezel with silver face. Mine is yellow gold for both and black hands but identical with same strap. Mine was definitely sold in the UK so perhaps an export model? Someone will come up with the name.

Broadcaster is another possible, though I have only seen 70's examples of this model, but they seem to lack seconds hands too.

'LONGCHAMP' as a guess.
