Watch Description

1966 Bulova Ambassador "AB"

One-piece stainless steel case, top-loading, dated M6, #2744, W. Germany; Swiss 12EBA movement (also Buren 1280), 17-jewels, micro-rotor, two hand version, dated M6 (also has N1 stamp?); black dial with luminous hands; I added a NOS Bulova black strap.

I think this is as basic you can get in these models, no seconds hand and no calendar complication; also came in 30 jewel versions.

Linebook reference 1967

I was hoping this gorgeous watch was going to wind up with someone here. A couple of weeks ago was one of those days when you go the mailbox and see a couple of packages and you know it's going to be a Bulova kind of day. When I opened the last package and saw this watch my first thought was, "Damn, did I drunk-buy this watch"? I remembered seeing the watch but not bidding on it. I figured out that the seller of the watch in the first package mistakenly sent me this watch as well.  I have to admit it hurt a little when I sent it back :)

I'm not familiar with this movement. Any idea of the purpose of the two intermediate wheels between the crown wheel and the ratchet wheel?

Very much appreciate your sorting out the shipping on this one and getting it back to the seller. I thought it would never arrive, but very pleased with it in the end.

I'm not sure about the additional wheel purpose. This does have some unusual winding, and one of those wheels disengages I believe.
