1966 Bulova unknown model, 17J 10CL movement with a M6 date code, 10K RGP bezel & back with a M6 date stamp, neat White "shadow" dial with directional ribs that catches the light at different angles to make it look 2-tone with applied Gold markers. The matching Speidel band looks original to the watch, and in the last couple of weeks I must have seen 3 or 4 of these identical to this one on everyone's favorite auction site with the same band, so it must have come with it. It is a nice looking and running watch, but it does have some small wear-through spots on the case back. **4-9-12 update ID'd Mr. Baker just reminded me to look a little harder in the database, He has a NOS example in there already...Thanks Geoff! http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1966-counselor-c-1763
In reply to OT, I noticed that Geoff's by DarHin
I think his has the texture...its just that mine shows the dirt in the grooves...his is clean!
The hang tag model numbers are also hit & miss...some match the crystal catalogs, and most don't.
We don't have a ad to back this one up, so it is a tentative for now...sometimes hang tags and watch boxes have the tendency of having the wrong watch in them...especially when purchased off of the bay...
