Watch Description

1966 Diamond Excellency "L".

An interesting thing I noticed on this Watch vs the only other in the registry is how mine is stamped " rolled " and the other is stamped " filled " on the back case.

The other is also listed as a '67 even though the case is stamped "M6".

Thanks!

Linebook match for a 1966 Bulova Diamond Excellency "D".

Diamond Excellency "D" looks like a good match.

1966 Bulova Diamond Excellency "D" is a good match.  Nice to have the original faceted crystal.

I didn't realize the actual crystal was the inner design until I cleaned the watch yesterday haha.  Pretty neat!  ---

Thanks Kathy!  I told my wife to be ready for a "funky" watch to show up after I bought it haha!  ---

The ad in the other database post points out the black dial in white gold to be the "L".   When I zoom in to the linebook photo the dial seems like it could be silver to me.Ad

I am leaning more to consider this the "L" variant due to the black dial.

It is likely that the "C" and "D" variants use a silver color dial that just appears either dark or just the way the photo shows this particular silver. Also, the linebook image has the 'BULOVA' on the dial not appearing white, which to me would make the dial a lighter silver color. There was also an "O" variant with gilt dial in yellow gold.

I cannot find a linebook reference for the black dial "L", but we have two ads from 1967 showing it.

Good catch on the variant.  I agree on "L"
