Watch Description

New Old Stock 1967 Sea Flight "K". Never worn or sold - in clam shell and cardboard box with manual, original Bulova leather band and string tags (13450). Not much doubt here - from a jewelry store and a dead match to the 1967 ad.

Key mis-stroke in my description. Hit the "F" instead of "K"; if someone on the panel would be so kind as to correct, I'd appreciate it. Thanks guys!

Ok, this one is easy......

Sea Flight K.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, and for all those who may not have yet been subjected to my endless warnings........

NOS watches in particular should be serviced before being run regularly. (This in addition to any watch that has not been fully serviced in a long time)

Why?

They are more valuable by virtue of their NOS status, and to keep that crisp and pristine watch in good condition, it is critical to have it properly serviced. It will be bone dry, and while dirt may not be an issue in a watch like this, I personally destroyed an NOS dive watch by simply using it everyday. It took about 4 months, if I remember correctly. This was before I went to watchmaking school. Also beware of anyone offering overly cheap watch services, the watch MUST be completely disassembled for proper removal of dried up dirt and oils before re-assembly and oiling. I've seen watches that were oiled only on the balance side, it is amazing the difference this makes to the pivots on the other side, it's kind of like only brushing your front teeth. Sooner or later the neglect will be apparent.

As always, Rob; good advice that needs to be heard.
