Watch Description

Acquired this watch recently along with about 50 other Accutrons in various conditions.  This one appears to be running very well.  I will post a picture of the Vibrograf chart. I am uncertain about the hands as I cannot find a Deep Sea with these hands.  The previous owner of this watch was, as I understand, a watchmaker.  Possibly, he changed the hands.  I do not know. I have no service history on this watch either.

It sure is a 1969 Bulova Accutron Deep Sea model. I wouldn't worry too much about the hand set but THIS example shows the original ones in case you want to go on a hunting expedition.

Thanks!  Question.  I find it hard to get my fingernail under the crown to pull it out for setting.  I have short fingernails...lol.  Maybe this is by design as setting it would be rare, given the accuracy.  Once I do get under the crown, it pulls out easily, so it is not a friction issue.  Do you find the same behavior?

Yes, I have the same problem with most vintage recessed crown Bulovas. My solution was to let my thumb & index nails stay a little longer. :o)
