Watch Description

1969 Bulova Oceanographer, possible 'A' variant

Believe this one to be the 'A' variant. Case is all stainless steel, brushed finish, case dated M9, case# 2893; grey color dial, 333feet equates to Super Waterproof, calendar window; 11BLACD automatic movement, 17 jewels, Swiss-made, signed crown; bracelet is a link type, clasp is Bulova signed, end links conform perfectly to the contour of the lug opening.

1968 ad for the 'A' variant shows a different band and has a cross-hair pattern on dial, and lacks the Oceanographer name. This is the only ad I have found. Style is similar to the yellow gold 'H'.

Looks pristine. Didn't see much wrist time by the looks of things. Very nice!

What's the yellow strip behind the watch in the box?

Thanks, the yellow item is a strip of foam common to these boxes, used to cushion or hold the watch in placed when closed.
