Additional Information

Here's another one for the database - I haven't seen this one in stainless steel. Accutron calendar, sometimes called "Sputnik." It's the only Accutron I have that doesn't have the standard 11/16 inch distance between lugs - this one needs a 22mm band. One of only two watches I own with a "Safirglas" crystal. I have seen other models of this same case, but have never seen the word "Safirglas" on the dial.

With "Safirglas" on the dial , they had to have been European models. We have several ads showing it in gold but even the dial is different on them. Very intersting. I like the case shape, it's different. Wonder why it would be called Sputnik, so many years later?

I'd tag it Accutron Calendar, to bad we don't have more on it.
