Have you tried sending the owner a private message.  You'll see you have that option at the bottom far right of the root record.  Root record is the stuff that shows up at the top of every page of comments- the stuff the owner entered.  You may be more likely to reach him, as there is a system to alert folks if they have gotten a private message.
