Watch Description

14 K , 10 diamonds. Checked by Jeweler. Needs a winder. Was only worn a few times. I am not confident enough to open the watch myself for any more information. The number on the face is 23.

apparantly the 'DIAMOND EMPRESS' came in a 23 Jewel variant, as suspected.

As I mentioned, I have a 1971 23 Jewel Diamond Empress, dead match to the ad so I gave 3 ticks cause I'm convinced it's a solid ID.

I've updated root record to indicate "23 jewels" based on above.  Better than "unknown" or leaving as entered (16 jewels).

Will, my 71 23J has a 5BD movement. 1972 would be the same I would think.
