Clipper AC works for me, wondering though if the dial color is a differentiator.

AQ not AC Geoff;I have seen ads for both color dials and it seems they are both called AQ.

Not seeing this as the Clipper AQ, which would be 17 jewels, two-tone blue dial, and stainless steel case.

Not seeing any Clippers with 23 jewels; Presidents, Senators, and Buccaneers w/ 23J - but no ads that match. Unknown at this time.

Hmmm, didn;t notice the "23" on the dial, that does rather disqulify it as a Clipper. Now I'm back to Unknown with Ken.

Good call, Ken and Will.

All 1972 Presidents were oval, all Senators cushion cased. Possibly a Buccaneer, but no supporting advert even though it ticks all the boxes.

Unk, and a lovely one too.

There's an example of this watch on watchophilia that's a close match.Lisa's example has the same movement but in the 17 jewel version. The only difference is mine is marked 23 jewels on the dial.Inside case back numbers are also different.Lisa's has R/,7211-2 while mine has R/,7211-1.I don't know if this is any help but it must mean something.
