Another unique looking find for Wayne. Love the red tipped sweep hand. Congrats.

Wonder if this is the $165 Yellow Gold "G" variant as per price lists discussed here:
http://www.mybulova.com/watches/5221
I doubt it, as subjet watch is much younger (1972) than first appearance of "G" variant in the model lists (first seen in the November 1954 new model list update/supplement).  While gold color of G is Yellow, the gold content is only inferred by relative pricing of G to other variants (and other model series of this time period).

1964 list                                            Nov 1954 list supplement.

my table headings above are appearing incorrectly. the single entry table graphic is from November 1954 supplement and the larger table is from 1964 model list

This looks like a sixties watch to me.
How was the date ascertained, I wonder?
No jewel count, no movement, no case SN.
Pretty watch, but no info gained and poses too many questions.

Sounds like a "challenge" to the reigning "King of Ads" to find a ad for this good looking watch.

Feel up to the challenge ???    ;-)

Can't find an ad for this exact model, found one from the fifties which had similar crowns, and if you look at the crowns they have that  sort of 1950's look, so I may be wrong with the 60's guess and it could be earlier.

This watch was manufactured in Germany by Junghans between 1951 and 1958. it has a 17 jewel Bulova 12B (J89) movement again made by Junghans. It is essentially the same watch as their own alarm watch apart from the name on the dial and the Junghans one has a J89 20 jewel movement (apparently the reason for less jewels is due to import tax being based on the number of jewels). Info is on Ranfft and you tube (a german alarm watch enthusiast called armbandwecker) haven't provided links as wasn't sure if it's allowed (happy to do so if wanted). Can't say if the crowns for this are original but I do know original crowns were not Bulova signed.
