Watch Description

Stainless steel case and clasp band, Blue rectangular face with calendar day number at 3 o-clock,  OMEGA centered between 12 o-clock and the dial center and AUTOMATIC centered between the dial center and 6 0-clock.. It is self winding. The crystal is the original and is now somewhat scuffed but not too bad.

I have two goals here, one is to gain as much information on this watch as possible and 2. is to get expansion links for the band. I haven't been able to cross reference any of the numbers on this watch to any sites I've looked at and It has a unique band that I cannot find expansion links for which is my main objective here. This was my brothers watch and he bought it new. The band actually started this quest as we took out most all of the links as my brothers health deteriorated and they have been misplaced. I inherited the watch and it has great sentimental value to me and I would like to wear it on occasion but need to add in the links back into the band.

On the outside back cover is stamped '3 940191 1'.  On the inside back cover is scribed 'K11/2/9103' and I couldn't get it show up well but under the zero  in 9103 there is a scribed 'T' or 'J'.  Under that is R/ and under that outlined in a box is 7691.

The only numbers on the inside movement is on the self winding weight. On the upper left is the word 'UNADJUSTED', Upper right 'SWISS', Center is 'BULOVA WATCH Co and below that in an outlined box is '11 AOACD' and below that it states 17 SEVENTEEN JEWELS.

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide as I couldn't cross reference any of the numbers to a model number or band type to even try to search for band links.

Cool watch, thanks for sharing your treasured heirloom with us. The case markings seem to indicate it was assembled outside the US. Serial number starting with a "stand alone 3". It is curious that it doesn't bear a date stamp. The illustration below is from the 1976 Bulova Linebook0200. This is the earliest reference I find, so I would be inclined to assign it as a 1976. It falls in the "Automatic Calendar" section and is only assigned a model number.

The band is generally referred to as "President" style. I would search eBay (president watch band) armed with the Millimeter dimensions of the links. It is entirely possible you will find individual links (pricey) or an identical generic replacement or for a different brand that will work. The most important measurement will be the width of the center link to fit the "lug" on watch case; followed by the overall width at attachment end and clasp attachment. It could be possible to cannibalize a newer band for links.

Thank you so much! This is so much more than I knew 24 hrs ago and its amazing what happens when the proper search terms are used. I was able to locate a band that is the correct finish, measurements and oval link ends.

1976 Bulova Model 11543-6W is a good match. This is the only version of this model I don't have.  I have Stainless with Champagne dial, and gold case with silver dial.

That sounds like a very attractive color combination. About how many versions did they make and for how many years? This was the first time I saw an actual picture that matched my watch. Its exciting to get this much information.

Actually my models have standard lugs so this is a different model.  Almost identical except for the integrated bracelet.

If you are unable to source links or a replacement band you could instead try using an extender (depending on how much length you need). Amazon and Esslinger carry them, search for "Watch Band Extender".

Thank you, those might be a workable alternative if I can't find the links.

Bulova Model 11543-6W is a good match. Hope you are able to wear this one. Those extenders sound like a good option.
