Watch Description

Here is an interesting ladies watch, at first glance you might think it is a manual wind, but it is in fact a quartz. The case could easily accomodate a manual wind movement, and many early quartz watches from many established companies sourced quartz movements that were drop-in replacements for the mechanical ones, so the cases remained the same.

Case is 14K yellow gold, as is the fine mesh bracelet, weighing in at just over 20 grams.

Photographed by kind permission of our customer.

Is the movement branded? I feel like I've seen this model before, but came up blank for an advert.

The movement is an FE, but carries no Bulova markings. It says 'Technotime' on the top plate, but that is not a manufacturer. Possibly Bulova was looking for sources of Quartz movts, like everyone else was at the time.

1979 Bulova Quartz - it's dated late enough to possibly never have had a specific name.
