Welcome to myBulova! If it is possible can you please add a photo of the back of the case in the comments? Verifying the date helps us in the ID process.
Hi, thank you very much, it's a pleasure to join this forum ! Here a picture of the movement, the date is n9, 1979 as all these models.
Thank you for adding the movement. I took a look through the ads we have for the late 70's and did not find a match. Unfortunately we do not have a great deal for this time period. Great looking watch. Thank you for sharing and hopefully an ad will come up at some point.
Unknown for now.
Popularly known as the Bulova 'Royal Oak', although I can pretty much guarantee that is not its real name.
Possibly only identified as a model number at this point. Rumoured to be a Gerald Genta design, and looks like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak enough that it should have invited a lawsuit, yet this did not happen.
Was it because GG himself licensed it to Bulova? At the time this watch was released in 1979, the AP Royal Oak had been in production for 7 years. One would expect that AP would take exception to seeing such an obvious copy of their watch.
Hi everybody, Yeah I tried to search on forum some picture about this movement but nothing. Nice story and myth behind this watch , gush !
Classic Bulova, not sure I've ever seen this one named. We have a couple in the Unknown category.
