Case Manufacturer:

American Standard Bulova

Crystal Details:

20mm X 23.75mm slightly domed glass

Additional Information

Case is 14kt GF Double Hinged.   24.5mm X 28.5mm.  Lug end to lug end is36mm.   Don't know if the hands are original - they appear newer??    First number on case looks like a mis struck 6 so have put it in as a 6.

Box that the watch came in looks like the original case - double signed - a little worn, but still nice.

This watch needs a new crystal if anyone can help with that???  would be most appreciated.

EDIT:   Looks like a "NORMAN"  to me???

EDIT 2: From the adverts the  hands appear to be correct for this model.

Edit 3:  The movement is a 9A so will change it from 9AN.

I'd have to agree with the Norman ID on this one. I've restored a couple last fall and the crystal is a dead one match as is the case, movement, and dial. Mine had different hands but that's only a slight change over what I have seen.

Nice watch and nice pictures Janet!  1926 is when we see the Norman show up, and it looks like a match to me! I had this one from 1928, w/ ad in thread, but I sold it a several years ago :(

Normam from me!  Is there anything written/stamped on the outisde of that great box?

Hi William

There is nothing written in the box other than the Bulova name plate, central front - and the blue Bulova lady insignia upper right.  It has a metal push button catch to open it.  Base velvet lined .  Top silk lined.  The outside top is domed.   The base comes out to reveal a flip out flat plate that holds the base on an angle for display purposes.     I think that having the box with the watch make it just that much more enjoyable.

I also really like the double hinged watch case where the back stays with the rest of the case.

Norman from me and I think the spade hands are correct for the watch.
