Hi all.
Not sure about the rules so would it be ok to put a couple of pictures of a clock I have that has a watch mechanism? I’m looking for as much information as I can find, it has the bulova 2141 movement.
thanks.
Ask general questions about Bulova watches. Please do not ask for model identification. Add your watch to the website for that.

What part, other than the stem, is missing from the 5AR movement? And what other movements have an interchangable part? The 5AR appears to be too new to be in any of the parts lists.
I know what part is missing and the manner in which it became so. I thought it might be more fun to ask this way.
I'm sure we've discussed this in the past but....
Hrrmmmm... totally different.
Hello All,
I picked up a M1 Bulova at a thrift shop and everything looks really good and is running. I put it on the timegrapher and the amplitude is only around 200 degrees. Is that normal for these? I have only fixed a couple of elgin pocket watches up to this point and they had much higher amplitudes.
If it isnt normal do you all know what mainspring would fit this movement? Thanks
What would be the hand hole diameter for a 6CAMC movement?
I tried to measure the hands myself. I get about 1.0 / .63 for the hour and minute. The second looked bigger when next to a replacement hand that should be a 0.20 mm hole.
I checked the Ranfft Watches database, and they don't have this movement, but all the other Bulova 6 movements with center seconds, 6CAC, 6BKC, etc.. are 1.10 / 0.60 / 0.18.
It looks like maybe these can come apart by using the notch to pry. Or as a means to unscrew, if it's threaded on. But I doubt that, since the wheels spin both directions, either thread direction would tend to get unscrewed.
Or perhaps the notch is meant to be used to align the two wheels? Unfortunately, the notched side is hidden when assembled and splitting the automatic bridge jarred the wheels enough to destroy any alignment they might have had.
I saw a non-working Bulova lady's watch on ebay pretty cheap, thought that might be a fun project, and now I've got this guy:
Hello everyone,

Does anyone know what the Accutron resistor code is. I'd like to try to find a modern day replacement if possible for possibly repairing defective coils which i believe have bad resistors.

I have a 1976 Bulova Oceanographer with a Japan marked dial and movement. I was wondering if anyone knew who made the movement? Miyota, Citizen, Seiko? About when was the changeover from Swiss to Japanese in the Bulova branded watches.
I have a decent collection of Japanese made watches (mostly Seiko), so a Japanese movement in a Bulova isn't a deal breaker when I buy one. One of my newer Bulova watches is from the current Citizen ownership era.
