A VERY HANDSOME, FULLY RESTORED, DISTINCTLY UNIQUE, BULOVA RITE- ANGLE WATCH: The infamous BULOVA Rite- Angle, Circa 1938. RARE (earlier release) seldom (if ever before?) seen, 8AM movement! Also sporting the coveted (and ultra rare) special order black dial, with applied gold numerals! (Vs. the MUCH more common painted white, or white with gold numeral option...) Fully restored and calibrated, as original... this distinctive watch was serviced by an expert watchmaker with over thirty years of experience... and is keeping VERY GOOD time! The NOS original replacement glass and new Spiedel genuine lizard skin band are an elegant compliment to this uniquely streamlined, true Art Deco period timepiece design! You won't see another watch like this one, anywhere else! PM or eMail me, if interested? I can also be reached via the eBay store, at WatchCrystals dot net... Incidentally, I suspect the brass and steel right angle watch box (Labeled 21 Jewels) was for a 1938+ Ladies Rite- Angle, that was probably solid 14 karat gold... as I've yet to see a men's/ladies rite angle, with 21 vs. 17 jewels???

Hey Mark,
VERY NICE AD! And yes... 1938 was the first year BULOVA used this case... And I don't see any other "8AM" movements listed here? (Perhaps a 1937 manufacture??)
Best :-) Scott
P.S. And I noticed that other 1938 ad you recently posted that shows the solid 14 karat "DEWEY," also shows the Rite- Angle A & B, I think???
AND... I see (4) potential dial combos (Mine + the three illustrated) excluding the other two later??) 2- tone dial variants, also shown below...
(And apparently SEVEN Men's model options, even in 1938 ?!?)
1938 BULOVA RITE- ANGLE ( A & B ? )
1940ish TWO- TONE DIAL VARIANT (1)
1940ish TWO- TONE DIAL VARIANT (2)
PERHAPS THIS MODEL WAS RELEASED PRE- XMAS, 1938???

I've seen a few different 8 series movements int the Rite Angle. Most popular seems to be the 8AZ. Hate it due to parts (in)availability. Doesn't cross reference with any other Bulova that I know of.

And it took me quite some time... to source a second movement for this, and also (2) to (re) make one good (and accurate!) powerplant for the 1926 Lone Eagle 1 I recently sold, with the also RARE 10AF. Some of these models/movements, are NO EASY TASK... to (properly) restore! Wish I could KEEP' em?!
