looking for more information on my watch. I have been unable to find the model and the date of the watch is still unclear to me.
With that oval/cats eye dial it looks more to be 60s or 70s.
Sabsands,
Look at the back of the watch. There will probably be a letter number combination near the Bulova name such as L5, M5, or N5. The letter designates the decade and the number the year in that decade.
Here are some better photos of the watch. Sadly there is no letter and number combo on the back of the watch as you can see. I have also opened up the back of the case and looked at the movement and was unable to find any sort of symbol matching the chart on this site. I have also combed the adverts posted to this site with no luck. Any suguestions would be greatly welcomed. I plan on wearing this watch for my wedding in June and would love to know more about it.

May I ask how you were able to identify the movement model? I am very currious and excited by the idea that this watch might be that old. Unfortunatly i can not make out a crecent or a square on the movment. I have drawn the shape that is clear to me on the movement but it isn't on any chart. Also next to that symbol is a letter and number combo that i can not really make out.

In the center of the movement next to the center jewel, I can see a stamping, looks like 9AN, but could be or 3AN. That is the combination that you mention that you cannot make out. This is the movement number. It can help identify at least the date range that the watch was manufactured.

5AR would be 1960's so it's probably 1966. Bulova produced several " La Petite" models using the 23 Jewel movements and signing the dial Bulova 23. They were often accented with tiny diamonds on the bezel as well. I'd bet your watch is a "La Petite _ " model, letter designation unknown.
