Something to keep in mind about the dials:
My watch maker and I have discussed dials that are different from the original that came with the watch, and he told me that back in the day when most people took their watches in regularly for service and cleaning, changing out the dials and hands was a common part of the service. The other than original dials that are fairly common on these vintage watches are most likely a result of this cleaning and service of the times.
Doesn't necessarily mean that the watch is not a particular moodel, just that hands and/or dial have been changed out due to worn or tarnished condition.

We have six ads on site from 1950-52. Three show the dial configuration of subject watch (embossed numerals) and three show "raised gilt" numerals. So "available w/ both" as Shawn says.
1950 ad w/ "embossed gilt" numeral dial configuration below: click for full ad.
1951 Ad for "raised gilt" numerals below:
1955 list shows 4 variants
The price for both raised and embossed dials goes up to $45 in ads beginning 1951, so I think the $42.50 price on the 1952 postcard ad on site would suggest the postcard is actually from 1949/50. Maybe it was dated based on cancled postal mark and it wasn't mailed till 1952?
