Dial what I found out at that time did either have dials with Roman numbers or indices, I still lean towards the variant "SENATOR".
If you look closley you an see a triangle symbol just left of the circle. I think the circle has no bearing on the watch symbol. It would still be a 35 just a different symbol. The Lone Eagle has 17 jewels and subject has 15.
I am inclined to think more along the Senator lines with Plains. We have seen a few watches with no engraving in ad but the subject had engraving and I think we gave those watches two tics.
