I though someone might like to see the 11AERC "Wrist Alarm" movement broken down and reassembled. Aside from the Chronometer movements it is by far one of the more intricate movements with lots of parts for the alarm setting and normal setting and winding. The watch uses one mainspring to run the alarm unit and the watch operation.
If you have questions, feel free to PM me. I have been through several of these now and will be posting the restoration results in the near future. This one is very clean and runs beautifully!

Just like a tiny little alarm clock. This isn't the Junghans ebauche they sometimes used, this is an all-Bulova movt. It is things like this that make modern watch afficianados sit up and take notice- in house movts. All the more impressive when you consider that companies like Breitling and Panerai have only recently made their own movts.
Thanks all for the positive comments. I have always thought the website could be used to share knowledge and information and be less model-ID oriented. This is one of my contributions. The photos are a little blurry as I had a bad angle apparently...but I think it shows the movement OK. I will be happy to show you the completed watch on a few weeks. I heard rumor that JFK had a Wrist Alarm....so the 11AERC has always intruqued me.
