White Gold Filled Case measures 39mm lug to lug x 21mm non inclusive of the Crown using Calipers. Original Butler finish Dial shows Black printed Arabic Numerals, Bulova Excellency Signature and tracks. Hour and Minute Hands are Black Index style and a Black Index style Seconds Hand appears on a sub Dial fully obscuring the 6. Crown is signed Bulova. Caseback is Gold and stamped as shown. Restored 2010.

From a reliable source: The Excellency GG was not released until 1949. 1948 and prior it was known as The Ambassador.
So, although this Excellency GG is dated 1948 twice yet sports the 1949 dial design (not available in 1948) the only logical assumption to be reached is the movement and case used were leftover inventory. Not an uncommon practice performed by Bulova.
