Hrmm.... wow Bulova... this is freakin deep. You named a watch after a collection of Poems?
Rubaiyat may refer to:
- The Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám (Persian: رباعیات عمر خیام) is the title that Edward FitzGerald gave to his translation of a selection of poems, originally written in Persian and of which there are about a thousand, attributed to Omar Khayyám (1048–1131), a Persian poet, mathematician and astronomer. A Persian ruba'i is a two-line stanza with two parts (or hemistechs) per line, hence the word "Rubáiyát" (derived from the Arabic root word for "four"), meaning "quatrains".
- Ruba'iyat, a collection of Ruba'i (a form of Persian poetry). The best-known example of such a collection is the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, to the extent that Rubaiyat is often used as a short name for this particular collection. There are also rubaiyats by Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Balkhi-Rumi . Among modern Iranian poets, the rubaiyat of Hossein Ghods-Nakhai have been translated into various languages.
This might be the craziest named Bulova we ever come across guys... heh. Oh and updated the picture by the way... that's the best we're going to get.
