1924 6PP, 15 Jewel, 2 Adjustments (never seen it marked like that before) Uber old.
Nice. It's an Aurore-Villeret. Restrictions on imports changed over the years, and Bulova was able to get through an import loophole in later years by importing "unadjusted" movts, which many other companies did as well. The 'unadjusted' designation is really meaningless, but allowed the item to be considered an unfinished product. The Bulova modifications, if any, but including the Bulova engraving, were done either at Bulova's Swiss factory, or at the US one. I imagine this dictated how the ebauche was stamped, but there could be other factors also.
Well besides the fact that it looks like one, and Bulova used these commonly in watches of the period, I looked it up. There are quite a few oval movts in the same style from the period, some very good quality, including one I had in a Genex (Rolex). I repair a lot of vintage watches, and after a while, it's like seeing an old friend.
