Came across this yesterday and wondered if Bulova know something we don't or have only speculated about for many years....what watch was Charles Lindbergh wearing on his historic flight from New York to Paris.
Was it a Bulova like this ad suggests or was it a Longines like many believe.
I JUST BOUGHT THIS WATCH THREE DAYS AGO, I AM NOT SO SURE ABOUT THE CONDITION, BUT I THOUGHT IT'S QUIET WELL...I AM SO HAPPY TO GET MY FIRST BULOVA, THIS ONE IS 60 YEARS ELDER THAN ME, I HOPE I CAN HAVE ANOTHER ONE FOR MY BOYFRIEND RECENTLY~~
I have a 1953 watch and would like to find the model name. Can anyone help?
Matching band
Dial Case Material: 14k Rolled Gold Plate, Lug-Lug 36.4mm, 30.4mm width
Dial is cream color with lum numbers & Cathedral Hands & seconds bit
M7 marked on movement. 17Jewel - Bulova marked on crown. Does not have a second hand . Case is Bulova10kt rolled gold plate and is 21mm wide not including crown X 30mm long. Lug end to lug end is 37mm. Any help in identifying this watch would be most appreciated.
21 Jewel movement - As received -movement runs strong. the dial has been sanded and requires refurbishing - the numerals are still present. Will update pictures once restored Edit: Case is 25.75mm excluding crown by 32mm. Lug end to lug end is 37mm - 10kt gold filled. Also more photos added
21 Jewel movement - I think has the original band. This watch is in good condition except for the face which is in need of a good clean - I have a new glass crystal that is to be fitted once dial is cleaned. Will update pictures when watch has been restored.
