This is watch #2. I believe this to be a 1948 His Excellency "JJ". It has a 10KT Yellow Gold Filled case and case back. There is no date code on the case. The movement is a 10BH 21J with a 48 Date code. The dial has yellow gold applied 1-12 hour markers in a great font. It is engraved on the back "Bill Adams 217-74-96 U.S. Navy", Very cool...just love personalized watches. Had a bad hairspring but had a spare complete balance to swap out to get it running again. It appears to have the original Kreisler gold filled bracelet from the attached Dec 1948 ad although the clasp is slightly different. The links are definitely a match.

I found a Bill Adams 1924-2019. From PA, died in TX. (Navy Lt) who was a pilot on Aircraft Carrier USS Yorktown CV-16. If it's him, it was a separation watch at the end of his 6 year tour during and shortly after WWII. S/N (Navy) seems to suggest early to mid 1940's.
