Watch Description

This wrist watch belonged to my father.  It was recently serviced by a reputable local jeweler, who specializes in watch repairs.  It has been in the family for as long as I can remember. My father pass away last November and had not used this watch for a long time. I was going thru my safe box at home and I was going opening jewelry boxes and found this Bulova Watch, wind it up and saw it working immediately. I decided service it and wear it proudly.

His Excellency AA, beautiful watch, I think you're very fortunate to have this memory of your father.

Indeed I am GB,

i remember my father being fond to this watch, I wished I would have ask him what kind of memories he had of it.

we think nothing of time and yet so soon everything becomes memories....

Thanks, GB for your kind words and I will make sure this memorable heirloom passes to one of my three sons.

I'm all in with the Excellency AA, love the patina on the dial. Take good care of it and it will offer a Son many years of service as well. Gotta love a Bulova.

I've had this model in all 3 gold colors. Wish I had kept the white gold one, pretty rare.To have one in great condition like this is just great. Just keep it serviced every 3-4 years and your all set to hand it down. It's a model we don't see too often.

Thanks for the advice b01.

I am lucky to have befriend a certified rolex repair shop owner. He had serviced my watches for a long period of time but not one vintage like this Bulova....the minute he saw the watch, he was pleasantly surprised and said you have here a 60 to 70 year old watch......I told him the story asked him to service it and to change the glass since it was chipped (I don't think it was the original though).

When, I picked up the watch I was amazed of the way it looks and decided that it will be my dress watch from here on.

What a nice story, and a handsome watch.  Holugar, that's great that you had this serviced and are going to wear it.  Nothing better than having an heirloom from your parents.

Thanks AG!

indeed, as the only male child in my family, I feel fortunate to own this watch and pass on possibly soon to one of my boys.

Strange is I was raise among six yes six!! sisters I was the only one... And because of this, I was mostly raised away from home and pretty much fend for myself for obvious reasons and got married kind of early in life ( at least in today's standards)  and later left to college of medicine for a good while and although loving my father deeply, I wished I had interacted more with him.

Now life gave me three sons I was not bless with a girl child, go figure! But, I love my son wife and another wife soon to be for my other son like the girl(s) I did not have...
