Wow- only 200 made in 2.5 yrs. Although not subject watch, that's about as "rare" as Bulova gets. I betcha "Bulova Timer" was a model series, and - yes here it comes- subject watch may be a variant thereof, or produced/marketed as another model name in this "series". Great ads and great watch!
I believe the movement is actually a Valjoux 24, it is very similar to the Valjoux 57, but there are some differences, in particular the coupling clutch arm.
