Why are you focusing so much on 1966 ads?  Obviously, because your watch is dated 1966, but that's not a good reason to limit your search of the ads to that year.  Most watches weren't produced for just one year, nor were they advertised for just one year, nor can you count on an ad being dated the same year as your watch.  You should be looking at all the 1960 ads, and probably some late 1950s and early 1970s as well.

If you look at all the ads for the 1960s, paying attention to the features of each line of watches, at the very least, you'll limit the options of what it could be.  And you may learn something more about 1960s watches in the process.

Searched from 59 to 72 saw one it was a clipper jewel count was wrong and it had a date window. But case was very close to this case. Looks like a trip to the local library is on tap. Thanks will cant hurt we will see what they have to offer.

Jim  You say you looped the rotor of movement and its an M6.  Still looks like M5 to me, but I didn't use a loop, just your photo.
Also looks like the "V" variant.
This exact same watch has two different records.  The other record is here.

Or...is it the Jet Clipper AC? This is the advert from the other record Will referenced above, it's from 1967 as is the Christmas ad above.

AC is white Geoff, with no Florentine engraving. Dial has dart hour markers, subject/"V" has baton markers.

Will, Jim said he louped the back, not the movement.

So, to your point Bob (and I agree) - it's really just a question of updating this record to "V"? Will, you seem to agree?
