Watch Description

I am quite sure this watch is a Banker with a dial variant from the ad, its a 17J 6CL movement that seems to be common to the two Bankers that Janet has in the database. The RGP case and back is stamped M7 and the Gold plated Movement is stamped N0 which I thought was weird until I looked at a 67 Diamond Excellency that will follow this one. Case measures 21.1 mm wide, 37mm lug to lug and 17.5 mm between lugs, Black leather strap with White stitching is a Kreisler Calfskin.

I say Mens Banker. I think our friends at Bulova did this on purpose ( think excess movements) and am pretty sure I have seen other examples. My dear old dad WAS a banker. He wore the Zodiac Mystery Dial ( and my brother won't let me have it!)

....I like the Miniute Man "P"...and it always amazes me how a subtle difference can make a variant or a model name change...

So....the '67 ad calls it Minute Man, Greg what is the date of the ad you posted? are both ads '67?

The ad I posted with the watch is from Dec. 1968, so it looks like the Minuteman got a Dial change and became the Banker.

I wonder if the Banker become the Minute Man (for this watch and these ads), or visa versa?

The 'BANKER' has a 'full Roman numeral Dial' according to the ad.
