I secured the 1973 model above from an antique store. I traded for a vintage radio I did not pay much for.
The watch was in the original hard case, but was not running. Took to a jewler to discover that the battery had been removed, thankfully. New battery and she is back in action. I replaced the aftermarket metal band with a black leather with white stiching. I LOVE this watch.
She is marked N3 on the back so def a 1973 model. Has the goodyear logo on the face as had been engraved to a guy who put in 25 years there.
She seems to run fine, but sometimes will lose 2 mins mysteriously after taking her off and setting her aside, OR gain or lose seconds. Seemsto be after I remove the watch. Not sure why this occurs. Once this happens, she will mainly run great. any ideas what this could be? OR, is it connected to the tuning fork model? any advice would be appreciated.
I will upload a pic after I post this message.
**I did take back to the jewler to make sure battery was good (tested on machine as good) and that is was seated properly.** again, she seems to run fine once she loses or gains and as wearing.
