Watch Description

Watch was presented to my father in 1978. It passed to me in the late 90's. Was serviced in 2002. Case and crystal are not in the best condition. I have resisted restoration as I would like to keep and use it as my late father did. Biggest issue is that the strap was missing a couple of links and as such was very tight. A local watch repairer inserted an 'expansion' link. But this makes it uncomfortable to wear. Would very much like to source some original links to replace those lost. Update: Had the watch serviced and 'lightly' restored. New  correct crystal. Hands relumed and case lightly polished. The original crystal did not have a magnifier over the date. Thanks to a forum member I was able to source a NOS replacement.

Let's argue over ads now?

the 1974 ad is genuine, or part of a genuine ad.

The ad is from a Bulova Snorkel ad, the watch in the "ad" is the watch for sale, and has been placed on top of an old Snorkel ad, not an Accutron Snorkel ad, as this would have either a tuning fork or the word Accutron.
After clicking on the link Geoff posted, the watch can be seen in several different positions on the same ad.
If you look at the watch ad above, a reflection can be seen of the bracelets lower right lug area.
Fake ad.

I have made multiple searches for Accutron Snorkel, and all hits are for Deep Sea models only, I used four different search engines, not including google and yahoo.
No Ads for the above watch.

Fake ad My a$$.

.... the ad was not sourced from where Mr Baker suggests.

Try Morris Jewelers.

The 'DEEP SEA ACCUTRON' states so on the Dial, the 'ACCUTRON SNORKEL' also states so on the Dial.

'ACCUTRON SNORKEL'

Total fake, the link proves it.
The same second hand (used) watch is showing the same time in different pics.
The ad says Bulova Snorkel, not Accutron Snorkel.
Another nice try.
EDIT:- Funny how your "Morrisons jeweler sourced" ad uses the same second hand watch showing exactly the same time as the one in Geoffs link.
An obvious fake, and you know it, a$$ or no a$$!

I agree with Geoff & Bob, its not  a real "Bulova" ad, check out Geoff's link...

Looks like Morrison Jewelry likes to borrow things...

Bogus ad... I'm for Unknown until we get some confirmation someplace.

Who the heck is Morrison Jewelers?   LOL  At any rate, looks like the Ad was used as a backdrop for someone selling or displaying the pictured watch.

Unknown is the easy way out for me, for now...

Magnetchief,

I believe 7526-3 entered into the Watch Seriel number field is the Case reference number, the Seriel number will be on the outer Case back.

Did the N.O.S. Crystal sleeve give any clues to the Watch model ID?

I will check the numbers.

The NOS sleeve went to the service guy.

If I recall it had the part number stMped to the sleeve nothing else.
