Greg,
a W*C 2MA275 158 fit like a glove.
The Case design and composition ( 10K Gold Filled ) are a match to the vintage ad, granted the bezel is not engraved but all other aspects are the same, lugs are identical. The 21 Jeweled movement without sub-Seconds is also a match and We've seen this Dial variation on several other models from 1936 - '37.
IMO this is good ID.
Crystal dimensions are now confirming this ID Gentlemen.
...and, IMO Stephen has the engraved bezel 'BRETON', currently ID'd as a 'PRESIDENT'
It looks like the Crystal works, and I agree that Stephen's '35 President is not a President, the case is too short, it looks more like a Phantom case with a 21J movement.
I have a hard time with the dial & case being so different and still being a Breton, usually its one or the other that is different, in this case its both...plus the ad is from 1935 and the movement is 1937, so it could have been released in '38. The name could have changed, and we just don't yet have a ad for this one?
How about 1937 Breton Unknown?? ; )
Anyone else out there have any comments?
