hello,,fellow members...check out this Gem i found at a local flea market/co op store...I bought this Beautiful All original near mint Bulova President.... the case and dial are in excellent condition...no wear on the back of the case..no loss of plating..no holes in the corners...the watch runs..i wouldn't say the band is original..all for 10 dollars...this has to be one of my best finds...not only for the price but the shape the watch is in...lately i have been doing well..just the week before i found a nice Vulcain automatic/calendar watch for 5..this makes up for all the other times where i got beat on something..or couldn't find anything at a flea market at all.... ...the watch will be for sale, after i service it..if anyone would like it for less unserviced that would be fine.also i will take better larger pics..i'd hate to see it go..but atleast someone here would enjoy it...or if no one here wants it,,i might keep it and sell my phantom 7ap....Here are the pics enjoy....

I agree it would be great if we had dropdown boxes for case dimensions. Making them a "required entry" would probably also require the choices "unknown" and/or "unavailable"- otherwise folks might just stick anything in them to be able to meet posting requirements. It would be nice to have one dropdown for width (without crown) and a second for height. This would allow us to include in searches and have some standardization for order of entry. If the watch is "round" the dimensions would be the same for both width/height, and the case shape entry would tip us off to round. ..as would the required pictures. This would make more work for Admin, and I'd be happy to update old records w/ case dimensions currently in the comments by placing them in the dropdown's if we were to go this route. I've got the time and desire to do this type of QA/QC stuff, and see it's utility to all.
i would add the numbers you are talking about..but one i don't usally think that the watches i post are anything unknown or anything very special..i don't like opening the case more then i really need too..and it hard to type in that stuff when you have a two year old tugging on you..i will update when i can and when i open the case...like i did last time wyane asked me too...

...yea Dave, I have seven and eight year old boys who can remove a crown (and lose it) or crown/stem assembly quicker than most watch makers. I think they eat them, or put them under their pillows for the Bulova fairy.
The case serial numbers and other stuff helps build the database so we can fish for patterns. I hear you on not opening watches too much, as it lets in dust etc...
