The BULOVA MODEL WHICH? (Latter 30s, likely 1937- 39 design?) Either 17 jewels? Or or perhaps 21?? 10 karat Yellow gold filled case....

Very similar to the "PHANTOM" from the top viewpoint... Yet that case doesn't have differentiated lugs, and thereby resembles a (classic 30s) Gruen Curvex stylization... This watch has either very delicate lugs, or more likely, "floaters?"
Odd thing is... I don't SEE a "Broadcaster" listed in the Rectalinear bezel opening, and I don't HAVE a 1936, 37, 38... G-S or Perfit catalog... so therein lies MY semi- blind spot! (i.e. pre 1939...)

Hereafter's the original "Phantom" illustration I posted, some time ago:
It obviously still only illustrates the top view, as par... unfortunately!!!
Interesting how the illustrators ALSO (like many photographers) neglected to adjust the hand positions to not obscure the alpha numericals, making me think they were likely then sent B & W photos, vs. physical timepieces, to render???
THANKS :-) Scott
Hereafter is an ad snipet from 1938 illustrating very similar models, such as the Broadcaster:
However the Broadcaster is rather an elongated Tonneau shaped window, with similar "floating lugs?" (And incidentally... the same1938/39 TONNEAU shaped glass that fits this Broadcaster, also fits the 1938/9 "TIME KING...") SEE also: http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1939-time-king-715

Scott, did you ever determine the correct jewels on this? You were kinda unclear in your original description as you posted 7 jewels then eluded to either 17 or 21 jewels?
I'm with Shawn on the pic Admin. supplied being darn near a match, although I think the artist (and I use the term artist lightly) was drunk when he drew the tips of the lugs to look like they had "NUBS" on the ends!
The other problem I see is the definition of the lugs right where they begin at the bezel, your watch seems to have a clearely defined lines. The (drunk) artist doesn't show any in his "rendition"!
Nice find!
