From what I can tell, this looks to be a 1946 Statesman. I saw it shown in two 1946 advertisements in the database and it looks to be the most similar. Although the Director model also looks very similar, all of the ones that I saw in the vintage ads in the database look to have numbered markers all around, while the Statesman shows only even numbered markers with arrow-like markers at the odd numbers. But perhaps I'm wrong as there is a very similar looking watch labeled as a Director in the database, but there is another that looks just like it labeled as a Statesman. Case is 14k Gold Filled and seems to be in very good shape for it's age. It's a 21 jewel 7AK movement stamped with a square for 1946 and runs very well. It's another watch that I can't recall where, when, and how I got it. But I love it, and think it's a really unique looking watch. I couldn't figure out how to download a supporting advert from this site into the posting, or if that's how I'm supposed to do it, but if you look in the vintage Bulova ads in 1946 on this site, you're sure to find it.
