I just picked this up.... seriously nicest thing I've found yet not refurbished. Dial is great.... case is smoking goood... and the combination of the rose gold case and the dial is fantastic... it maybe hard for me to let this one go away...
But... are you guys seeing what I'm seeing on this movement? I see the astrick (1941) and right next to it... the anchor (1942)!? Is this something common in Senators? I guess this is the first one I've had so...
Also... what Senator do I have here with this dial?

I have seen this on many Bulova movements and have never quite worked out why. My only guess is that the movement was made one year, cased the next and they double stamped it. So I guess you could say this watch was put together at the turn of 1942. I have exactly the same model being refurbed at the moment so when it comes back i'll check for the date stamps to see if it is a "thing" with this model
