Hello,
My fiance was given an antique Bulova to use as her "something old". I believe it was my grandmothers or great grandmothers. It is very petite with one of those bracelets that stretch to fit your wrist.
I cant find any markings on the back of the watch, but did find Sturdymaid on the bracelet part. There does appear to be 2 letters on the top and bottom of the inside of the watch just under where the bracelet meets the face, if you are looking straight at it. Looks like MAYBE "CE" but cant make it out.
It looks like your watch is a "Baroness" , the ad is from 1928, we would need the date code off of the movement to figure out the correct year.
This watch should have a hinged case back and dust cover, If your not comfortable messing with it, your local jeweler would be the one to take it to. The date code would be a symbol on the movement, could be a square for 1927, a cresent moon for 1928 or a shield for 1929.
Congratulations on the up coming special day!
Greg
