So I get back to the hotel from work. I do my routine ending soonest search and with 43 seconds left when it comes up I see this:
This auction is for a vintage 1953 (code L3 on back) men's Bulova wristwatch. The watch, 21 jewels, runs and keeps great time. Looks to be barely used, as far as wear goes. Case serial number is 6880365. It is 10K, rolled gold plated, and comes with original case, which includes booklet with guarantee, Bulova company history, and page for service records. Original cases like this are hard to find. Watch face crystal is clear and in great shape. Great collectible, or wear everyday. Original price tag ($89.50), is still in case. With a very low starting bid and no reserve, this is a real opportunity to get a rare men's antique watch in uncommon condition.
So I quickly scan the pics.... put in a bid of $50 bucks with 16 seconds left thinking it's going to jump. Never does.... whuuuu huuuuuu!!
I got it for like $42 shipped!
Looks like a 1953 "Jefferson" maybe or whatever... we've never been able to substantiate it.. but Almost looks NOS. 21 Jewel.... with the case if that's original! SWEEEEET!!

Looks like it may be related to this one...the case looks the same, different dial & movement, and a tad bit older... http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1957-unknown-3644
Nice find, looks like everyone was sleeping on this one except you!
