The case serial is only six digits, indicating you are using the one from outside.
Please take pics of the case back and the inside case back if possible Jim.
To date the watch correctly, you need to look on the inside of the case back, and find the seven digit case serial number stamped there.

Case number has been updated i forgot a 1 at the end. This is the case no. from nside the hinged case
case back outside says nothing but open in very tiny letters at one end. Inside says Bulova Quality pat jan 11 1927 1162101 Having a little trouble getting pictures in keeps telling me file is to big .
What is interesting to note is the use of raised numbers Vs the lumed numbers. We have yet to really establish the change over period, other than to say that the painted lumed version came first.
Bulova Sky King is most certainly is (Version 1 case, but not neccessarily version one model which I believe came with the lumed pained numbers and hands)
